FM- Monthly/Periodic Budget Upload and Control?

Dear Sir,

Whether budget can be uploaded and controled MONTHWISE?

ie; Should we be able to track expense for month and some commitment items carry forward remaining budget to next month. Some commitment item budget of that month to be closed in the same month, and should not be used for next month in total.

               Eg; 1) APRIL Original Budget is 10000, Consumed is 8000, Remaining budget 2000 : Need to carry to MAY.

                         (So, if we upload budget 10000 in MAY then Available Budget should be 10000 +2000 = 12000)

                  

                      2) APRIL Original Budget is 10000, Consumed is 8000, Remaining budget 2000 : Need to close in APRIL only.

                         (So, if we upload budget 10000 in MAY then Available Budget should be 10000 only)

(Note: Previously we have activated Total Value, Annual Value only now After testing we have activated Period Values in Budget Profile)

What other settings required if this is possible in FM?

Please suggest.

Hi,

What budget profile you are talking about? Aren't you using BCS? With BCS, monthly budget control (with Budget Period object) is possible; carry-forward - not.

You can develop a process your self where the remaining budget will be transferred (not carried-forward) to next Budget Period, thus making a 'dummy' carry-forward.
