BCS Year-end Procedures

Hi All. What is the the sequence of events when performing open commitments carry forward with BCS? With former budgeting it is very clear but for BCS I can't quite see exactly which programs (Transaction codes) to use and in what sequence to carry forward open commitments and the associated budget. I understand that FMJ2 is for Former Budgeting. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Yvonne,

The tx code is the same, FMJ2. You have to take care also about the customizing in IMG for closing operations for BCS.

In case you want to transfer the residual budget, this changes a bit, in this case you

have to work with Key figures (residual budget), SAP provides a standard one.

Nevertheless, all information related is in the next link:

Hi Noemi

Thanks for your response. I have tried this link and it doesn't work. Is it correct?

The problem is that when trying to carry forward open commitments with FMJ2, the following error messages occur with most of the commitments:

1. Messages in document chain Msg No. FMCF700

2. Enter at least one document line Msg No. FMKU014

I have tried to understand and correct the problems but to no avail, so I thought maybe my config or the fact that I was using FMJ2 was the problem. We are only carrying forward commitment and associated budget. No residual budget.

Kind regards

Dear Ivonne,

The second message is usually issued by tx code FMPLUP, so I cannot understand why you are receiving this error in FMJ2.

It it possible you send to me the text of both error messages so this way I could get a bot of more details?

Hello Iris,

Yes, this is reported it via OSS ticket. Message number is 468250 2007.

However, there were some issues with connection which seem not yet solved.

Yvonne, do you have any update about this?. May we please mark this thread as answered and assume further processing through the OSS message?

Thanks and best regards, Mar.

Dear Yvonne,

Based on the information you have provided, I'm not able to know why you are getting this error. I would create a message with a detailed step by step example and connection data.

Sorry for not being able to go further.
