Hi gurus,
I have a problem in silo management.
I have 2 materials A and B and 2 tanks 1, 2.
I can assign 2 materials to 1 tank but I can't assign 1 material to 2 tanks.
How do I solve this???
Thanks!

Hi
Assignment of 1 material with 2 tanks is possible
1) If their stock type used in one tank is different from other while assigning this material.
2) If you are assigning same material in different storage locations.
Why do you want to assign same material to 2 tanks? What's your business requirement?

Hi Mohit,
Thanks for your answer.
In my customer's structure, there 1 Storage location and there are many tanks assign to that SLoc.
I give an example of 3 tanks assign to that SLoc, 2 tanks contain Mogas 92 and 1 tank contains Mogas 95.
Valuation type of materials are the same (it's called Nxx).
I can assign Mogas 95 to 1 tank and Mogas 92 to another tank but can't assign Mogas 92 to 2 tanks.
Do you have any suggestion???
Thanks in advance!

In your case you can activate batch management in material master of Mogas 92 first. Then create batches using MSC1N. If you want to maintain this material in different tanks then you should create batches for each tank.
If goods movement has been taken place for your material then above settings are not possible.
Now when you assign material in different tanks make sure you enter batch no. for each tank. This should solve your problem. I hope this helps.
