O3 Defaults

How does this O3 defaults work..? how it is determined..? I am looking for good inputs regarding this..

Hello Rahul ,

O3DEFAULTS is the transaction used to maintain the default parameters like temprature, density etc for an Oil material & plant / storage location / batch combinations. After activating the defaults, these defaults can be used to calculate the additional quantities in other units of measures in goods movements. Hi Rahul,

O3 Defaults is the transaction use to maintain the default value. When you will post any document related to that material the o3default screen pop up. It means it gives you the default value which is previously maintained. if you want to change any data you can change it and execute it.

In O3 defaults we maitain some default values like density,temprature, air buoyancy factor,.while posting the pgysical inventory in O4 tiger these values comes from O3 defaults.It is very difficult to post these values while posting the physical inventory in O4 tiger.So for minimising the end user's work & for more accuracy we maintain O3 defaults.
