Hi Ashok,

SAP IS Oil comes with various modules such as HPM-Hydrocarbon Product Management, TDP-Traffics Duties and Permits, TD-Transporation and Distribution, MOE Markeing Contracts and Order entry, Exchanges etc

For FICO is concerned you can for IS OIL PRA, Production and revenure accounting and Joint venture accounting. PRA comes with Revenue distrubution, Tax Reporting, Royality Reporting. SAP Components are integrated and share both ventures and cost center assignments for linking revenues and expenses for custom or SAP-specific corporate reporting.

Check out the link and documenst

Dear Satish,

Thanks for the response. I rewarded points.

Please let me know further clarification on this as follows:

1. It seems that PRA relates to 'upstream' operation. As a FICO consultant, is there any other module in 'downstream' operation, that I must learn? The Modules you have specified i.e., HPM, TDP are in 'downstream' operations.

2. If I make myself good in PRA, is that enough that I can be declared as IS Oil Consultant?

3. How can I go to 'best practices' documentation for PRA, such as 'scenarios' and 'end-user' documentations etc.

4. Would you like to accept my invitation to be connected from our LinkedIn account?

Regards,

Ashok

Dear Ashok,

Yes, you are right

1 About 80% of the business for IS Oil are used by HPM and TDP modules. so you can go for any one

of these module which talks about Excise duty processing, claims, calculations and posting liabilities

2.More specific to IS Oil then PRA is better option, but limited projects, as the business is in Large pack crude oil industries across the world.

3.you can find the same in help.sap.com. Best Practices--> Technical informations

Bulding block Library.
