MTS & MTO in Textile Industry

Dear Expert

I'm working in Textile industry and we used both scenarios in SAP for MTS for Local product and MTO for export Product .

Working with configurable materials but i don't know how i can use it for MTS Strategy

Actually we initiate the solution and intend to have your scenario as you mention above configurable for MTO and material variant for MTS

but we have very high of variety and i'm afraid to have a lot of material variant numbers and increased each year

Hello,

I would like to have a better understanding of the business process would be helpful to see what makes most sense here. There is a possiblity to archive materials, if they are very seasonable. Changable material variants can also help to reduce the number of material variants. Did you look into that functionaliy:

This function allows you to enter characteristics like length during sales order creation.
I enclose an example from the carpet industry using material variants with batches.
