In our system when a person selects an insurace provider, then automatically (the birthdate and the latest system date 31129999 are filled by default on the "insured from / to" fields). Is there a way to leave these fields blank? thanks.

Hi Daniel,

the system will always default the insurance relationship validity dates when these fields are empty. You cannot leave them blank.

Katharina,

Is there a way to change the standard (from "birthdate" and to "last day of the system") to a different value ?

Hi Daniel,

there might be options to default different values. In order to point you to the right option, I need to understand if you want to propose different validity dates when activiating an existing insurance relationship for a new case of an existing patient or are we talking about new patients?

Are you maintaining insurance relationships using the Clinical Process Builder (nv2000)?

Thanks,

Katharina

Yes we are using NV2000 for creating new patients and filling in their insurance data (hand or read chip card). By having the system proposing filled in values, this creates a risk for agents to validate the default values instead of filling in the right values from the patient's data. provided. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Daniel,

there are Business Add-Ins (BAdI) available for patient admission. You might be able to use the BAdI in order to check the entered data and issue a message.

You will find the BAdI in the Hospital Implementation Guide (IMG) under "Patient Managment -> Patients -> Business Add-Ins for Patient Admission -> BAdI Clinical Process Builder - Check Data of Individual Subscreens".

I hope that this will help you.
