How to comminicate via HL7 and PI

Hello!

I was told that PI 7.11 includes an HL7 adapter. But I'm unable to find it. Where can I download it?

I also installed XI CONTENT: IS-H and IS-H_IC but there is no definition of HL7 messages (for example ADT_A05 from http://sap.com/xi/HL7/V25). Where can I get namespace http://sap.com/xi/HL7/V25 with all the content?

Hi,

there is currently no SAP delivered HL7 adapter. However, for a set of HL7 messages, there is PI content covering the HL7 XML messages and the mapping from the enterprise services to the HL7 XML.

Details can be found in the the [Enterprise Services Bundle for Patient Administration|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/Patient%20Administration], and in its child pages, like the one for [IHE/HL7 |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/IHEConfigurationGuide]where you can find the different HL7 messages that are supported and in the [service configuration guide |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/Service+Configuration]where you can find more technical details on the configuration.

In step 3 of the guide on IHE/HL7 you can find information on where to find the PI content (it's actually SAP BASIS 7.00, in namespace Http://[sap.com/xi/XI/System]) and about the adapter.

Hi Dmitry ,

in the meantime I encountered your problem with a partner of ours and I guess now understood better what your problem is.

Downloading the HL7 PI content is related to the licences the customer/partner actually has. He has to have an IS-H (SAP Patient Management) license.

So please check if this is case.

In addition we had an internal problem that is now solved: the XI content for HL7 was only internally released and not for customers and partners. Sorry for that, but it is solved now.

In summary: if you or your customer has an SAP Patient Management License it should be possible to download it via [service.sap.com/support|service.sap.com/support]: Downloads"->" Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" -> "SAP Content" -> "ESR Content XI.

I have already downloaded XI content:

Than I imported it into PI.

As a result some PI objects were created. But there is no HL7 interfaces.

For example when I open Message Mapping PatientERPCreatedInformationToHL7PatientCreatedMessage

the error occurs:

Hi Dimitri,

strange behaviour. As this could be an error and should be analyzed more in detail by our expert, I would suggest to open an OSS ticket for component IS-H-SE so that they could process the message and, if necessary, also access your system.
