How deep is the integration between SAP Patient Management and SAP CRM?

Hi everybody

I'm trying to get updated on how deep is the integration between SAP Patient Managemen (IS-H) and SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

I heard about SAP PRM (Patient Relationship Management), but as far as I know, is an isolated solution with no standard integration to IS-H. For example, there is no syncronization between the ISH Patient and the CRM Business Partner.

As of release 604, IS-H introduces the SAP Central Business Partner to replace the old ISH Busines Partners. The SAP Central Business Partners are integrated with the CRM Business Partners, so, some integration is possible.

Do you know it the Patient records will also become SAP Business Partners in 604.

Any information is more than welcome.

With best regards

Matías

Hi Matias,

I'm in an IS-H and CRM project right now and facing same questions.

I have a non oficial response from SAP stating: "The integration between Is-h and CRM is currently being developed and will be downported to ERP 6 EHP6. It is planned to be available this year with support package 5. I think it will integrate the patient master record and the CRM business partner."

Meanwhile I started to have some integration tests in a ISH ECC 6.0 Ehp4 and CRM 7.0 Ehp1.

So far what I can say:
1) When you create a patient in ISH own transaction, a BP is created automatically in ECC in BP Role "NPNT HC Pacient". There is two separated master data.

2) Once it's created a BUPA_MAIN is sent to CRM without any patient specific fields.

3) BDoc is rejected since CRM doesn´t have any BP Role "NPNT". And here is my question: Is there a missing entry in ISH table COM_BUPA_CALL_FU that should convert "NPNT" to standard existing CRM BP Role "ISHPAT Healthcare BP: Patient"? Or should I simply create the BP Role "NPNT". Just for testing purposes I created the entry and BDocs are running ok.

4) Same occurs with other BP types: Internal and External Physicians, Hospitals, Insurance Providers. The only distinction between these roles and Pacient is that they are created directly from trx. BP.

Other open questions:
1) Since there are two distinct IDs in ISH side (patient master and BP master) if I want to call a transaction via Transaction Launcher to check any typical ISH information, I'll have to have a conversion. Not so nice!

If I get something else, I'll update your discussion.

Best regards.

Hi, Matías.

When your system is active business function ISH_BP_OM (For more information, see the Implementation Guide and choose Activate Business Functions) you have access to the functionality of the SAP Central Business Partner in the IS-H.

When you created a patient (np01: tables NPAE and NPNT, not table NPAT), in the central business partner (BUT00) also created the corresponding patient record. After that you can integrate with CRM Business Partners, if it possible, I didn't have such experience.

I hope this information will help you.

Best regards, Alexander.
