HI Experts,

ECC 6.0 <<<<< PI 7.<<<<<<<HL7

In my scenario i have to fetch the data from HL7 Adaptable system and i have to push the same data in ECC 6.0 . I m able to pick a data from HL7 . I can handle it. But in second one (PI 7.0 <<<<<ECC6.0) I have little doubt.

Here just want to know that when i will push the data into the ECC 6.0. From PI System ,What will be the procedure.

1) Should I use RFC ?

2) Or some other functions r available in ECC 6.0.

Kindly help me With ur valuable knowledge.

Prashant.

Hi Prashant,

First I want to understand your scenario clearly.

Are you sure you want to send a HL7 message via PI to ECC 6.0? Could you please elaborate the scenario?

Usually the software in ERP (ECC 6.0) which supports Healtchare (e.g. ISH early version) only sends the broadcasting messages to subsystems. This means only outbound messages and not receive any message from subsystem either for HL7.

If in your landscape you want to send an HL7 message via PI to the Healthcare software, you need the new enterprise SOA and the Business Process Platform. Because we have defined plenty of services to send and receive messages to and from subsystems. This works only with enterprise SOA and the technical platform in this case NW PI and the HL7 adapter.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

arghhhhh.

there is no thing such as 'the new enterprise SOA', this is no module or component but a concept and obviously Prashant is already 'living' a service oriented architecture.

Moreover there is no service sending messages. Services are called by service consumers or vice versa you probably offer service consumers for distinct services to be called.

Hi,

Please see my blog, maybe this helps a little bit to understand the eSOA and HL7 message.
