Hi,
When you try to bill a case when one of the service rendered is outside the validity date, there should be a Billing error but it does not stop the billing.
Is it a standard problem? Is there any OSS notes to this problem. Thank you

Hi Rajesh,
what do you mean by "validity date" - are you referring to the period of time of the (inpatient?) case or to the service? Services rendered before or after an inpatient stay can be billed. This is necessary as often services are rendered outside the period of time when the patient is in the institution. However, you should not be able to enter a service in the service entry for a point of time in which the service is not valid (--> not defined in the service master).

Hi Claudius,
Sequence of events.
1. Service Validity date is 31.12.9999
2. Service entered into the inpatient cases.
3. Service Validity date is before the case is created.
4. During the billing there is no dump but at the time of printing there is a dump.

Hi Rajesh,
it is always difficult to assess such problems without a detailed problem description. If I understand you right, the problem does not really occur upon billing, but is rather related to the next step - printing. So it sounds like you can reproduce the error, e.g. when each time you start the printing process for such a billed case? If the dump description does not give you insight, I suggest to open a [ticket|http://service.sap.com/message].

Hi Claudius,
Yes u r correct.. It is at the time of printing. Generally it happens at the time batch billing and all the other bills get affected because of the dump.
I will raise it as a separate request. Thank you.
