Solution for US Payapp in construction

Hi

we are doing construction projects in the US and have to provide payment applications following the rules of the AIA. We were looking for a standard solutiuon in SAP but could not find anything. 

We have now implmented it with a  sales order with Sales Bom to have a prefined structure to cover all relevant information, like values to be billed, Retention and so on. For each payapp of a project, we create new entries in the billing plan of the involved items. The printout will be based on the SD invoice, but the print programm will get the printed information not only from the current invoice but will collect the Information from the comlete document flow. 

Does anybody else did face the question to realise a payapp in SAP? How did you solve the problem?

Historically many people handled the AIA billing process offline and then entered the invoice in SAP after it was fully approved.  Others have built AIA like output forms that print from SAP.  A few years ago SAP partner LTIMindtree built a BTP solution to address the complexities of construction billing, including interaction with subcontractors, pencil copy billing and approval processes, and output forms.  This solution is available in the SAP store.  Project Paychain | LTIMindtree Limited (sap.com)   

SAP partner Smartapp also has billing capabilities in their SmartappOne solution which is also available in the SAP store.  This solution also includes jobsite execution functionality like lean project scheduling, document control, jobsite safety, and more with out of the box integration to S/4Cloud public edition.
