MILLS Runs SAP... And it's about to run ETM!

It's almost there...

Mills is the market leader in providing specialized engineering services in Brazil. With more than 40 units spread across 13 States in the country, it has the largest geographical presence in the segment and has more than four thousand employees working in four business areas: Construction, Jahu, Rental and Industrial Services.

About a year ago, Mills has started running SAP in its back office. But the major changes are about to come.

The company will be the first SAP customer from Brazil with the EC&O Solution implemented with the ETM module and the third one in Latin America.

ETM module is being used to manage the rental of Mills' equipments to its clients, controlling the locations, statuses, and incomings of every single equipment of its massive quantity of assets during their whole lifecycle.

It's being hard, but we will finally see it going live! A nice history, full of experiences, coming soon.

I'd be glad to share experiences with you all!

This is great news!  Do you see this continued investment, by Brazilian customers, in SAP's solutions for the engineering & construction industry, as part of a growth strategy due to Olympics and World Cup build out?

Unfortunately, I don't see many efforts in EC&O area, neither in SAP customers, nor in possible ones. It would be obvious that, due to those major construction demands you just mentioned, companies would improve their tools to manage their businesses, but it's not happening.

As far as I know, Mills is currently the only company in Brazil with EC&O solution (specially with the use of ETM module).

In my opinion, the big construction companies or rental companies focused on construction business are not fully aware of the benefits ot this solution yet.

It's great to find your news on ETM. I am currently working with one customer in Media industry. They are interested in solution like ETM, and I am try to know more about this solution. Unfortunately, the information about ETM is quite rare. In demo cloud system I can not find any system has ETM activated. could you share some detail documents to me.

Hi Huyen,

an demo cloud system exists for ETM scenarios. I have sent you the information my mail. Also the building block 444 of the SAP Best Practices for Engineering, Construction, and Operations (http://help.sap.com/bp-eco).

ETM requires the activation of Business Function DIMP_SDUD Discrete Industries - Mill Products of Business Function Set DIMP or DIMP & Public Services.
