Hi Experts,

I am just into the IS-Banking module, want to know if FI-CA is also a part of IS-Banking.As in case of other Industry solutions like Utilities,Retail etc..FI-CA is playing a major role.

Thanks,

Hi,

FI-CA is no core component of SAP's Banking Solution Portfolio. However, Loans Management on Banking Services uses FI-CAX to manage open items that are related to a loan account.

Example: You disburse a loan and at the end of the month you want to create a receivable for the installment. This receivable is posted to an FI-CAX contract account.

Let me know if you want to know further details.

Best regards,

Hi Oliver

Does this mean I need FI-CAX to use FS-CML. I am not using IS-Banking - only ECC 6.0.

I am looking at using FS-CML for loans given and consumer loans seems to be a reasonable option. It seems vendor integration is not possible for loan flows and customer accounts only are posted from FS-CML as designed.

Would appreciate if you can also shed some light on key functions in FS-CML which rule out using Money Market investments/ Borrowings for managing loans. We do not have collateral requirements. Interest calculations seem to be flexible in CML as I have seen in some comments, but cant see any documenation where this flexibility in FS-CML is highlighted vs CFM Money Markets.

Thx and BR

Hi,

FI-CAX is only necessary for loans management onbanking services.

ERP loans (FS-CML) uses the FI customer account.

Interest calculation is quite flexible in CML. Maybe you should have a look at SAP library or ask a consultant for some demo.

Kind regards,

Michael
