Hi Sharmila,

To answer your questions, BCF stands for "Balance Carryforward" function which can be used to determine the opening balance of the subledger for financial instruments in Bank Analyzer for the current fiscal year. Here you will find a detailed documentation on Balance Carryforward function.

Balance Carryforward is part of year-end processing. Find out details on all the processes in the AFI Scenario of SAP Bank Analyzer in the following documentation link (including BCF and other steps).

Hi Vyusal,

Thanks for your reply.

Please find the steps which we are executing for BCF. However, we are not been to successfully do the BCF.

1. Create FT and BT

2. Period Open( Previous year)

3. Set posting date

4. Register

5. Open new fiscal

6. End-of -day processing

7. Execute BCF

Please let us know if we are missing something here? Also let us know how do we validate that BCF is successful or in which table we will check the results. Your inputs on this is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sharmila

Hello Sharmila,

Could you please elaborate which scenario you are following with regards to "Balance Carryforward": classic Accounting for Financial Instruments or Smart Accounting (smart AFI)? What is your solution part of: Banking Services from SAP or SAP S/4HANA for Financial Products Subledger?

Thank you in advance
Best Regards

hi Vyusal,

We are in sAFI. i was able to execute BCF successfully. Now the client requirement is to execute BCF quarterly. Is this feasible in the standard functionality. If so can we make use of the variant functionality and how?

Thanks,

Sharmila
