Hi All,

I need some info about installation of SAP Banking 6.0 . Is it a part of ECC 6.0 . Am i supposed to purchase additional licenses. My client is an NBFC. Loan Management is required. Please advice. We are offering SAP ECC 6.0 with PS, FI and MM modules. How should I go about with Loan Management in SAP Banking.

Regards,

Prakash

Hello Prakash,

yes, you need additional licenses. The price depends on the type of business that is managed with loans, such as micro loans, private loans and corporate loans. For details you need to contact the customer's account executive.

Loan Management as a functionality can be seen in both ECC6 ( called ERP Version) and and Banking Services. Current Version is BS 8. For NBFC loan management functionality, ERP version is good enough to handle most of the requirements.

Hello Oliver,

Some Info, Are these ( Micro Loans . Provate Loans and Corporate Loans ) SAP Products or Partner Products. If these are SAP Products; where do you make this distinction? and What are the salient features of these different type of loans?

Thanks in advance

Hello Sunil,

I'm referring to SAP-CML. The categories are less to be seen from the functional perspective (in fact, all type of loans are using the same software components) but from a pricing perspective.

Best regards,

Oliver

Thanks Sunil & Oliver,

We are not giving SAP Banking as in India it is not very reliable package unlike Europe. TRM seems the only alternative but I want to know whether Treasury could solve this purpose. It seems that Transaction Manager in FSCM-TRM is interfaced with FS-CML. Hence to do Loans Accounting / Management in SAP ECC 6.0 we have to also install FS-CML module compulsorily as TRM on its own cannot handle Loan Accounting.

Please provide ur valuable inputs.

Regards,

Prakash
