Hi,

I would like to know the effects on activating the IS-AUTO(VMS)DIMP in ECC 6.0 version, for other modules will there be any changes for the standard, If so what would be the best solution to activate the DIMP for VMS without effecting the integration?

do we have any separate IDES for IS-AUTO?

Hi Srikanth,

The activation of DIMP in Switch Framework with the Business Function (BF) or Business Function Set (BFS)

does not impact the standard modules .This Vehicle Management System helps to club the MM(procurement)

and SD(sales) which indeed helps the importer for running Automotive bussiness cycle

Please refer the SAP note 838003 (ndustry add-ons integrated into SAP ECC 6.0 ). We have separate IDES for DIMP

(eg :-DED)

Hi Srikanth,

Vehhicle Management ( IS-Auto) is an Industry-specific functionality for IS Automotive.

I suppose your IDES version is in the non-industry IDES version and not the industry IDES version (DIMP).

Unfortunately in the non-industry IDES system an Industry Solution / additional Business Functions cannot be activated.

There is no other way than to order the IDES industry version for DIMP (Discrete Industry Mill Products)
