Hi All,
does anybody know what effects the announced switch to web dynpro for dealer portal will have:
- What technique will be used, web dynpro for Java or web dynpro for ABAP
- Is Java Stack no longer needed, if web dynpro for ABAP is used or is Java stack mandatory on enterprise portal
The background for this question is the planned set up of a VMS demo system and I want to clarify, if it is possible to install NW with EP and ERP on the same server. So this leads to the question ABAP stack only or both ABAP+JAVA stack, which is not recomended by SAP installation master guides.
Thanks in advance for your help.

After a lot of research I found this answers, which may interest some of you:
> What technique will be used, web dynpro for Java or web dynpro for ABAP+
Web Dynpro for ABAP is used (probably favored by SAP for future developments)
> Is Java Stack no longer needed, if web dynpro for ABAP is used or is Java stack mandatory on enterprise portal+
Java Stack is mandatory for enterprise portal, because EP completely is a Java development
The conclusion for an installation of ERP and NW with usage type "EPC" on one server, is to make an installation with ABAP+Java Stack. This is not recommended by SAP, but for demo or test system this should be sufficient.
