Hi Friends,

In T.Code VELO, I am able to see the Vehicle Model on left hand side(Find Tab), (View is Configuration) after selecting the Characteristic values in the right hand side(Char-General Tab)

then what is the next process?

As i went through some documents.. i found that the vehicles have to be displayed in the Overview Tab..

But i am unable to find any vehicles in Overview Tab..

Pls guide me..

Hello,

what you're describing is the vehicle search in Vehicle Management System (VMS) via VELO. Searching for vehicles is one of the processes for vehicles supported by VELO.

Roughly it works like this:

1.)

Select a model on the left side

2.)

Enter different search criteria (You can switch between different views to enter all kinds of search criteria)

3.)

Click on the button "Find"

4.)

Provided there're vehicle in the system matching your search criteria, VELO automatically shows the search result list on the "overview" tab.

5.)

You can have a look at the details of the vehicles found, select one or several ones of them for the execution of vehicle action.

I hope this answers your question. What I described above of course only works if the proper customizing and master data set up was done.

Thanks for the reply.

I selected a model on the left side, Entered search criteria and Clicked on Find button but I am unable to find the vehicle..

provided there are vehicle in the system matching your search criteria,VELO automatically shows the search result list on the "overview" tab.

whether we have to create Vehicles and Vehicle Models?

Whether Vehicles and Vehicle Models are Different????

Pls guide me..

Hello,

without checking of your example, it is not possible to say what are the concret steps in your case.

There, please call Vehicle Management System (IS-A-VMS), then Vehicle Manager, Vehicle Search, Searching for a Vehicle

sorry but I think I don't understand your question. To me it seems as if you ask about the difference between a vehicle and a vehicle model in VMS (?).

This information is provided in the documentation to which I posted a link already. Here you can find the details about vehicles and vehicle models ...

... but to be honest, I think it's necessary to read much more than just that in the online documentation in order to get a sufficient understanding about VMS in general and vehicle search in particular.
