Vehicle planning without Variant configuration

Hi,

We have a scenario where we need to plan the vehicles which are discretely managed (without Variant configuration). This planning is required to be done in APO where the prime requirement is to sequence the planning of vehicles based on requirements.

Please suggest how to manage the requirements. As i understand model mix planning is not an option here since we are not using VC.

There are few REM heuristics suggested by SAP. Has anybody used these? Also what is the benefit of using iPPE wrt PDS in this type scenario?

If the planning is required without variant configuration, then the planning would become simpler.
