Supersession in sales order

Hi Friends,

I am trying to setup supersession in sales order. I have created the supersession chain.

Sccenario

A - old material - stock 100

B - new material - stock 0

according to the documentation when I create a sales order for the new material "B", the system should pick the old material "A" stock and confirm, this is not happening.

Am I missing out any setup activites...

Hi,

In this case you have to do the material transfer by using 309 movement type and use the B material.

Otherwise you have to issue the A material only.

hi,

Please check in supersession chain for the material what you have maintained in Replacement Type

Two replacement types can describe the materials of a supersession chain:

Forwards and Interchangeable.

If you maintain FORWARD then it will check the stock of MATERIAL B only and if you maintain INTERCHANGEABLE then it will replace B with A if stock of B is zero
