can you explain the difference between a partner function and customer in SAP?

HI,

Generally, partner functions are the other partners linked to the sold-to, i.e. ship-to, bill-to & payer. the sold-to & ship-to have to be defined in the customer master and they are individual entities, where as the bill-to and payer are assigned to a particular customer.

Hi Vinod,

This is a useful information. Can you please let me know as how customers are created via business partner concept. I am aware that if customer are created via business partner, same is also updated in customer master.

If would be great if there is some documentation for the same.
