Solved: relation between sap dbm and sap-sd

Hi friends,

Basically i want to know something regarding how much relation is there for sap-sd and dbm. is there any integration part or not.

Hi Madhu,

DBM is fully integrated to ERP, having said that, it equally uses the concepts of SD for its sales. But, DBM has its own concepts, built upon SD.

Say, the pricing for vehicles would be done at DBM using Vehicle Model and stuff, but pricing for the parts would be done using the regular SD pricing and different procedures are assigned to DBM order types.

DBM creates its own sales order, but that uses a standard Sales order type for reference, so this is very much integrated to ERP, but works on its own.

Hi Madhu,

We dont have a live customer in India yet. The discussions are still going on..

In Malaysia, we have 2.

We have couple of projects going on in Middle east, Europe, Africa and South America. There are quite a few live in Europe.

All in all, less than 10 Live customers, another 10-15 Ongoing projects around the globe.

Hi Harsha,

I need few details on WFM and MRS. Is these are part of DBM add on or these are seperate software.

In which std business processes these will be useful

( One I had seen in Appoint scheduling)

Hi

MRS is used for Appointment scheduling and can be used for detailed workshop scheduling. For detailed scheduling in the workshop the customer have to check if it fulfills the need as some backward integartion has to be done form the customer
