Profit Center error

Hi all,

In our DBM installation, during service order creation ( when saving the service order ), we are getting an error message "Profit Center for internal order not found". We have checked the profit center assignments like Material Master and DBM internal order assignment. If any of you had the similar issue, kindly advise to resolve.

Even in Parts sales order and vehicle sales order, internal order is not creating.

Hi Senthil,

in parts orders no internal order is getting created within DBM, mainly because there is no split possiblilty which would require to transfer values from order header to split headers via assigned internal orders.

The vehicle sales order is using the internal order assigned to the vehicle.

For the internal order creation please have a look into your customizing for /dbm/->order->Account Assignment->Internal Order Account Assignment: Assign Account Assignment Object for Internal Order and in Profit Center Control: Assign Profit Center

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. I am able to get internal order in the vehicle sales order. But the system is not generating an internal order in the service order. The system is giving the error " profit center for the internal order not found".

I did all the assignments in DBM for internal order and profit centers. But still getting the error.

Hi Senthil,

i case you are using NewGL the note 1086417 has to be applied.

In general the message implies that your profit center determination via lean condition technique was not able to determine the required profit center.

As we are working in DBM 7.0 this note is already updated. Is there any other possibility for this error?

as far as i can see this is the only place where the message is getting triggered.

Most probably a missing condition determination will cause the issue.

Thanks for the help. I solved the issue by removing the material group from the profit center determination in DBM.
