This is related to Supersession only.
I have material A, B and C.
I have supersessioned A with new material D,
Now when I am trying to replace material B with material D it giving error as Chain alreday exist. May i know how to solve this problem?

This implies that only A and D are defined in an SUS chain.
Hence you can replace A with D and not B with D.

Hello
I have a similar problem. As I understand it, IS-A-SUS has not been designed to take account of this functionality at all (i.e. A is replaced by D and then in a separate chain F is replaced by D). D can only exist in one PIC.
I have been asking SAP about this and it appears there is no solution.

Hi All,
I would like to know why 2 supersession chains are needed for same material?
Why not add D to same chain containing A, B and C.
The 'Replacement' (F- forward or I - Interchangeability) type can be used to achieve one-way or two-way interchangebility.
Therefore 2 supersession chains for same material is not needed.
Thanks and regards,
