JIT outbound issue

Hi All,

We received a request from the business to be able to provide a forecast release and then send some kind of re-order point releases. Now in standard SAP you can either order with re-order point but this without sending a forecast generated by MRP.

Now we have found in the automotive functionality the "outbound summarized JIT" call which we think will solve our requirement. We have set-up this scenario and are able to generate JIT calls. However when we try to send out the JIT call the output is not transmitted.

In the messages you find the status on RED and the processing log states as error Summarized JIT call XXXX does not exist.

This message is twice in the processing log.

However when you call up the JIT call in transaction PJ02 you can see it.

Any ideas where this error might come from?

Hi Peter, Have you set up the output conditions via PJNK1?

How are you creating the calls?

Hi Ben,

The output conditions have been set-up and for testing purposes we are trying to output the JIT call in printed form.

When creating the outbound JIT call the message is determined but it's always failing (red status light) when looking at the messages.

Can you see the call via txn JITOM?

What are the steps you are following to create the call? (txn etc) so I can recreate it in our test system.

We are just in the process of going live with a JIT outbound solution with the automotive functionality. Its been very tricky to get working but we have done it.

Can you also tell me what config you have set up for the process (call control etc)

First off all thx for your help on this issue.

The message created either via PK23 or S2L can be seen in the JITOM transaction.

If you can provide me with an email I can send you the configuration documentation that we have created.

The configuration that we have done is in the following areas of the JIT outbound:

Control profiles

Define JIT call profile

Define external procurement strategy for sequenced JIT call

Call Control

Define Actions

Define internal processing status

Define call control

Message determination

Maintained configuration for all steps

Summarized JIT call

Define replenishment strategies for external procurement

We have finally been able to get the outbound JIT call to work.

The configuration performed was OK however there was one item missing which is the assignment of the country to the time zone.

This needs to be done in order for the JIT call to be generated and sent ouf the SAP system.

This setting is performed using transaction STZGC
