Initial status for vehicle in SAP-VMS

Hi all,

we are using SAP-VMS primary and secondary status matrix and want to change the initial status "space" in the inbound administration and all other tables which are responsible for status changes. We inserted a new status "0000" in OVELO12 and deleted the initial status SPACE.

Our first test was not successfull and leeds to an error like : "status change not possible ...." for a new vehicle. It seems that standard functionaltity always demands a SPACE as initial status.

Does anyone know, if there is a chance to use a different initial status as SPACE ?

Hello Michael,

Are you talking about the first "old status" in the matrix?

This first old status needs to be "space" in order to begin. When you execute the first action it will be "new status" that will be shown in your vehicle history.

yes i mean the "old status". Why is it not possible to start with "0000" representing the initial status ?
