Could you give the main benefits,advantages of industry specific version of SAP i.e IS-Auto over SAP ?.

HI Umesh,

Its very simple in a very small piece of statement...

Using ERP for Auto solution is like starting from scratch to build a solution for any Auto customer and

using IS-Auto is like starting the implementation at 60-70% of what the Auto business needs..

I agree that we can slice and dice ERP and use it as a Auto solution, but there are many GAPS when we want to do so.. Vehicle object is one of them, which we cannot get using ERP.. The whole VMS / DBM / Warranty revolves around this object..

Hope this lets u take an edge of IS-Auto over ERP alone..

in an ERP?

If this is so , then what are the other similiar features present in IS AUTO that are NOT found in an ERP solution.
