Hi,
I am getting an error while creating Warranty claim in Dealer portal. The error is as follows:
"Item Key for item type, item 00001 is invalid".
wherein
Item Key - Injector_Pump
Item Type - Material
Warranty Claim Type - ZWUS
Action Control - ZWAR
The "Item Type Group" for the warranty claim is "00". This item type group has EXP, FR, MAT, SUBL & TEXT. Control ItemType for MAT is Spare Part, Material.
The item "Injector_Pump is defined in the same Sales Area as that of the Warranty Claim.
Can some one throw some light on this error?

Hi Sandeep,
I have encountered the similar problem some time back.
To what I remember, I had opened the description of the message which had led me to the customizing entry. After maintaining that entry in the customizing, I could get rid of the message.
I am not able to recollect exactly what I have done, would you help me with the message number.

Unfortunately, this error happnes in Dealer portal for which no message number or help is available.

Hi,
What i understand is this is one of the most common problems faced during projects. Interesting thing is, this behaviour is not consistent.
I tried my luck with notes but no help.

I am working in automobile warranty Implementation project.
You are true, the errors in Dealer portal is not consistant.
We too faced this issue..
But we found the solution in BSP..
Give me full detail I will let you know step by step ...
