DBM 6.0 - Extending Parts to Vehicle Models

Hi,

In DBM 6.0, can we link the Parts to the vehicle models. If yes, can we have a one-to-many linking between the Parts & the vehicle models.

Hello,

We can attach the Spare parts in model master under the "S: standard Features" in Tab "Features".Same spare parts ( Features) get attached to respective vehicle master while creating the vehicle master with selection of copy indicator.

Under these Features you can attach mutiple spare parts number.

Would you please clarify on these questions here?

Are you talking about the VEHI type material that is linked to Model master or regular HAWA type parts?

If it is VEHI related Materials, Yes, 1 material can be used in Many models, but that should purely be based on business needs and not as a thumb rule.

If your question is about spare parts (HAWA type materials), NO.

No materials are linked to Model Master. Search in Orders is determined by Organization units and the material group to the item category.

Third one is Features onto Vehicle model/Master.

Any features can be linked to N number of Models and Masters. SO, there is no restriction on the 1-n or n-1 mapping.
