Danielle, what inspired you to become an SAP Mentor?
I was inspired to become an SAP mentor through my own experiences and the support I received from the SAP Community. In 2015, I was honored to be recognized as an SAP mentor for my contributions to the Portuguese-speaking SAP Community. I still remember the excitement I felt when I was nominated during the SAP Forum Brazil event, now known as SAP Now Brazil.
The inspiration came from other SAP Mentors who possessed extensive knowledge and provided invaluable assistance to me. This motivated me to give back to the community that had supported my growth.
Being an SAP mentor means a lot to me. It allows me to stay updated on technological trends that will shape the future, provide feedback on SAP products, and offer guidance and support to the SAP Community and other key initiatives within the ecosystem. I am proud to be part of the SAP Mentors program and to contribute to driving innovation in businesses through the SAP Community.
What advice would like to share with other SAP community members?
First, improve your skills as needed and fill any gaps you have in relation to the new area you want to work in. Continuous learning is essential to stay relevant and competitive. Also, make sure you have a mentor, a person who can support you in this journey. A mentor can provide guidance, share valuable insights, and help you navigate challenges. Finally, understand that hard work is crucial to achieving your goals. Dedication and persistence are key.
The SAP Community is an excellent platform for digital networking. Ensure your profile is up to date and actively engage with other members who share your job interests. Participate in discussions, contribute content, and learn from the experiences of others.
Bring all your past experiences and knowledge with you! Life experiences can boost your confidence and be used as a tool to support you in this change. Embrace your background and use it to your advantage as you transition into new roles within the SAP ecosystem.
