I've got some exciting news to share with you. The SAP CodeJam roadshow is coming back to Latin America! This time, Josh Bentley, Rich Heilman, Thomas Jung, and Antonio Maradiaga will be part of the second SAP CodeJam Roadshow in Latin America. We will have four stops on the roadshow starting the 25th of July and then continuing from August 4th - 12th, 2025, doing a total of seven CodeJams, one in SΓ£o Paulo and then two in Lima, Mexico City and Bogota. Also, we'll organise a couple of quedadas (meetups) as we did last year. :-).

SAP CodeJam ABAP Cloud
This SAP CodeJam event is on the topic of the ABAP Cloud, and specifically introduces attendees to ABAP Cloud and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model. ABAP Cloud is the ABAP based development model for S/4HANA Cloud, S/4HANA on premise, and SAP BTP, ABAP environment. Learn how to use proven and new technologies, such as Core Data Services (CDS) and behavior definition and implementation languages, to build SAP Fiori apps and OData services on any of the ABAP Cloud options. In this hands-on experience, developers will create their first ABAP applications using ABAP Cloud, expose and consume services via HTTP, and explore the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model.
Getting started with Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core
In this CodeJam, you will learn how to use Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core to implement a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) use case to improve the responses of large language models (LLMs) and reduce hallucinations. You will learn how to deploy an LLM and the orchestration service on SAP AI Core and query it via SAP AI Launchpad and the Python SDK. Furthermore, you will learn about the most important genAI concepts and create and use text chunks and embeddings to improve your RAG response.
