Hi Gurus,
Need your vies as regards migration of SAP Env from Windows to Linux. I know it might sound a wee bit weird, but need to reiterate that this is an IDES env.
Can I practice migration in the IDES env. from Windows to Linux.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Julius.

Hello,
You can use the SWPM tool (read the SAP note 1680045) to perform a system copy procedure.
The system copy guides can be found here:
http://www.service.sap.com/sltoolset ->
Software Logistic Toolset 1.0 ->
[Scroll down the page] System Provisioning ->
Installation: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and Higher
System Copy: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 or Higher

Isaías

Hi Julius.
Just to anwser your question, yes you can migrate from Windows to Linux. (Heterogeneous Copy).
You should go to PAM and see for yourself all the SAP supported OS / DB versions.
(Can you give us more details about your SAP envoirement? )
(What BD are you using?)
