Why does the syntax highlighting not work

Hi all,

I just created a new blog post (). In the edit environment everything looks fine. However, when I publish the blog the code snippets somehow get not displayed correctly. The line numbers are missing and there is an empty line between each code line.

Any idea how to solve this?

Thank,

Christian

Hi all,

it seems that the JIVE syntax highlighting itself is broken. Even when I open older blog posts that contained a correct highlighting (e.g.), the code is not displayed correctly any more.

Confirmed. It is a global issue. The syntax highlighter is not working in any of the older posts.

Hi Manish,

do you know if this is the right channel to contact the people at SAP responsible for SCN so that they can try to fix the issue?

Yes it is the right channel to get support.

is more appropriate for reporting bugs.

Name tagging may help.

It is a global issue and deserves attention.

It's best to contact sapnetwork@sap.com who can properly investigate this issue (offline SCN support).

Hi Christian,

we rolled out a fix this morning. All code highlighting is working again.

Best,

You can use

It generates html code that is compatible with SCN. In other words, it does not have any tags that SCN might strip in the name of security.

Hi Manish,

thanks for the pointer. However, I prefer the build in highlighting as it also has line numbers.
