who locked the thread on support issues? - 2nd try

since I see only Java error messages here for a second time:

isn't it a bit strange that a valid discussion in CC is killed/locked for no apparent reason?

actually the last posting was shouting out for flames and I had been expecting them to pop up in my mailbox ... now I know why they didn't.

So, who locked that thread and why?

things are a-changing, making this thread useless.

thanks SDN for providing us with a platform to discuss issues relevant to our daily work lives in an open manner. it surely is for the better good of all of us.

What about the disappearing first try? 😮

... only kidding - someone keeping the forums tidy, I expect.

I don't see how locking that thread would keep anything tidy.

The thread was an obvious rant, and although the question may have been poorly asked, it does raise issues that were not addressed in any of the responses.

Yes, I'm sure primary support reads the messages, but do they all really have the competence to address the problem?

Are they under such time constraints that they have to respond with boilerplate answers about consulting?

English is the language of OSS, but some responses from them show such poor English skills that it is difficult to make out what is being said,

Rob - Anton's first try was deleted, presumably in an effort to keep the forums tidy. I was not talking about his locked thread.
