Where is this 'Universal footer' improvement?

In SAP Community Release Notes I read the following:

Release May 8th, 2017

New Features

  • (People) Implement universal footer (UXP-172)

I displayed my profile in Firefox ESR 52.1.1, IE11 and Pale Moon 27.3.0 and tried to find any significant changes, but I could not find anything.

There are a few elements with display: none, but these have been present for months, so probably this is not what the release notes refer to. I also tried disabling add-ons and tracking protection, clearing data, disabled userContent.css, but nothing changed.

For which browser/OS combination is the improvement from May, 8th valid and what does it bring exactly?

Hey Veselina,

Universal Footer refers to this red area on the image. The profile did not have that earlier. With that you can easily visit SAP's social channels, share the page within an email and find important documentation, sitemap...etc.

Best,

Gabi

Thank you for the clarification, I was concerned, that I am missing out on some profile maintenance functionality because of my browser/OS choices.

I am glad that this is not the case.

We are testing everything on IE, Chrome, FF and Edge, that usually covers most of the cases. If you do see anything unusual in the future, just let me know.
