What is shown under 'Latest replies'?

In this case, on the page for the SAP Business One tag, I see two entries:

The first does not appear to have any connection to SAP Business One.

The second is an answer to a question tagged with SAP Business One. However, there are many many more and newer similar replies that are not shown here.

Is this a bug, is this element under contruction or what is the logic here?

Hi @Johan_Hakkesteegt and @TuncayKaraca

What you see in the Latest Replies section is the main thread/main content with the most recent reply, not the latest reply itself.

The platform will also surface content that is not necessarily tagged with the SAP Managed tag, but content where the product is mentioned.
For instance the second reply on the SAP Business One page here is not tagged, but is still relevant for Business One:

Hi @AnnePetteroe,

It seems to me that this does not work correctly. At the very least the logic does not match with common expectations. Sorry, I am not sure what you mean with: "...the main thread/main content...".

The first entry is still there, while similar other questions have had more recent replies. Same goes for the last one. In fact there are more recent replies with the SAP Business One tag or mention, any which way you throw it.

Maybe the second one has the word SAP Business One in a reply, somewhere, but I cannot find it. For this element to be usefull in this case, the link should open up the comment in question. Now it opens up to a random reply:

Please note, that these two replies do not have the SAP Business One tag nor is it mentioned in the texts. The only common denominator is the word SAP. If that is all that it takes, there maybe something wrong with the algorithm.

Regards,

Johan

Hi @AnnePetteroe,

I agree with @Johan_Hakkesteegt  that the Latest Replies does not work with any explanation at all. It's totally broken! I it works with some logic that would be great! Could you please consider this is as a bug and report to be fixed!

Just same example: It's two weeks from my first reply and SAP Datasphere   has the same "Latest Replies" and it's just four in total! 😗

I am doing some more testing on our end, and will get back to you. Just to confirm this is not forgotten.

Hi @AnnePetteroe, I wonder if this is a clue to the problem:

Johan_H_0-1713936250828.png

Obviously there are going to be more than 3 mentions of SAP Business One under the SAP Business One tag. However, apparently the numbers are not related to the SAP Business One tag, but instead to some other qualifier. As you can see in the screenshot, it is entirely unclear what that qualifier is, and how we should interpret these values.

So the current "Latest replies" may very well be technically correct. It is just the logic that is off.

Johan

A quick update here. We are working with our platform vendor to address the issue with the "Latest Replies" section.

I've been wondering the same. 🤔 I think there is an intent to display Latest Replies as Latest Posts displayed but it's not working, it's broken! ✖️

SAP Datasphere

4 Replies and it does not make sense at all! 😑

SAP Community Team must have an answer! or report as a bug!
