Unable to create a blog post

My profile has Contributor status, but when I attempt to write a new blog post, I am presented with the message "You have not achieved the blogging permission level required to perform this action."

I have followed the requisite "Navigating Blogger Levels" post, and followed a tag & several community members. Can you let me know if there's an issue with my account?

Hello Liam,

As mentioned in Jamie's blog, Navigating Blogger Levels, you will notice that you will need to achieve "Author" status to be able to publish content independently without the help of a moderator. Users only need to successfully publish two blogs in order to achieve this Author status. And as you have achieved "Contributor" already, you only have to publish one more with the guidance of a moderator to be able to start publishing on your own.
