Unable to connect to the sap nw ce 7.2 server through sap gui 7.2

Hiiiiiiiiiii everyone,

I am new to sap nw.I have installed the sap nw ce 7.2 trial version and my server is working fine.but i am unable to connect to the server using sap gui 7.2.

I have configured following parameters in the custum application server type of sap gui.

Connection type : Custom Application server

Description : SAPNW

Application server : 10.10.10.10(Microsoft loop back adapter`s ip adress i.e static ip adress)

Insatance number : 01

System Id : CE1

SAProuter String : (I left as blank)

When hit on logon with these the gui says "connecting -please wait" for a long time but i didnt get the sap welcome window......

Please help me in this regards...

I would check first the connection btw. SAPGUI and SERVER with niping from both(!) directions.

Hi,

Make sure that u have maintained the correct IP address in the Application Server field. Instead of IP address u can even try using the hostname of ur server. Also ensure that there are no settings at the firewall (between server and ur machine)/anti virus program which stops the connection.

Application server : 10.10.10.10

I made all the settings right and no fire walls are turned on.But still unable to connect to the server,it keep on saying "connecting to server-please wait".
