Unable to change password due to logon problem

Hi community,

I wanted to change my password (starting point was my profile -> Actions -> Change password). On the redirected site (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/logon?redirect=%2Firj%2Fscn%2Fchangepassword compare also picture below), I cannot log on but no error message is shown! Any idead how this problem could be solved?

I have no idea why, because I did not change anything but now it's working and I can change my password and access the redirected page without any difficulties.

Hi Nektarios,

Your account was fixed manually.

For other users with the same issue:

This issue is due to changes done on Oc-7

Any user that registered to SCN after this date might encounter this behavior.

If you need a urgent resolution, you may contact the support team (sapnetwork@sap.com) for manual fix.

otherwise this issue will be solved on Oct-28

Hi Nektarios,

Go to SCN welcome page: http://scn.sap.com/welcome

Click 'Login' then select "Forgot Password" option.

an email with a link to reset your password will be sent to your email address.

Hi David, that is a possibility. But the link still does not work...

Another problem:

I want to change my email adress.(starting point was my profile -> Actions -> Change email adress). On the redirected site (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/logon?redirect=%2Firj%2Fscn%2Fupdateprofile - see also picture above), I cannot log on but no error message is shown!

Any idead how this problem could be solved?

open this link

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/updateprofile

provide your new email id.

an email will be sent to your new email id for activation. just click on that link in that email.

Thanks for the reply!

When I try the link, the same problems occurs... When I enter my logon data the page refreshes and I have to enter my data again (no error message pops up).

I'll contact the support because I've also went through the FAQ's regarding password issues. Unfortunately without any helpful hints for solving this specific problem 😞
