Trying to configure webgui using SMICM but facing a problem.

Dear Friends,

     Hi! I'm trying to configure SMICM in our organization. I found the process to do the same in http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-29485. But here we do not have a domain so as to input a value for the parameter "icm/host_name_full". Please suggest how to configure webgui for SAP w/o using or by disabling the parameter "icm/host_name_full". Also let me know if this parameter can be disabled.

If you are using a windows OS, then for that parameter value you can put "hostname.local".

Hope that works for you.

Hi Deepesh,

we have similar problem and we fix it by using the "hosts" file on the server.

You can use the hosts file for mapping your server IP to an (non-real existent) virtual 'full qualified hostname".

Then you can use this virtual name for the SAP parameter icm/host_name_full.

Maybe you could try with an IP-address?
