Trending People in SCN

In my activity page, I see Trending People. Please explain what this is? and why these members are being shown?

I just know that it is the software used for SCN. Jive is a collaboration software and run by many companies as you can see in their website Customers - Jive Software.

In simple word, Active members / Movement members. Most viewed member.

If you will see the trending content (above trending member), then you will find the highest number of views.

As per my experience (As I am one of these trending members), if you will active and movement for many forums (not only view, you need to participate/post reply) and you need to come under top 10, then you will come under trending people.

Basically you are saying that the same trending people will be visible for all members (in their activity page). It does not vary from member to member. Not sure about this!

I there any literature where the rules are written - what all things add up to becoming a "trending person"? Also want to know, how I can deactivate feature from my activity page.

You can use a browser plugin (search on google) that lets you hide specific html elements from specific web address.

Unlike ad blocking, the content will continue to be there but its vertical width will be set to zero.

Trending Content and Trending People are based on global algorithms; they are not user-specific.
