Hi Maen,

I was watching the original thread (at the ABAP forum)... well, I guess it's not a gentle expression... I don't speak Italian either, but found some google results...

accirt - it's napolitan slang for "ucciditi" and means something like "kill yourself" ([http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:0gcoB8XD_vQJ:it-it.facebook.com/note.php%3Fnote_id%3D158034884230761%22accirttuepatt%22&cd=1&hl=es&ct=clnk&gl=es])

sorry!

Kind regards,

Alvaro

Thanks Alvaro!

I already had a feeling it wasn't very pleasant.

Now i only need to check if he's not a SAP employee before i report him.

Mmm... that would be the second time in all these years that i will use the report button.

I have a slightly better but still impolite guess at what happened...

"Accirt" is a spelling mistake for "accrit" which is latin for "an argument which will still have it's day".

"Patt" is a stalemate in chess.

So, what he is trying to say is: "Have an argument with yourself oneday when you are in a fix".

Probably nonesense though, because Mirko72 (the OP) is not known for doing anything this complicated on SDN, yet...

Unfortunately he had hit the "closed but not answered" button even faster, which effectively locks the thread...

It (and it's duplicate) are moved to the Test&Playground forum, together with the other Koom Valley Battle re-enactment and last grunts from a forum troll who seems to have had too much "Big Hammer"... -->

You seem to be having a bad day...

Indeed! Was already wondering where that thread was moved to...

[I'm back!!!! Or rather Mirko92 is back.... |/message/9858818#9858818 [original link is broken]]

Seems he has a new approach: closing his thread before i can join the fun.

edit.

it's gone....

During dark times of forum noise I was looking for a "Stun Gun" to stop spammers and came up with a prototyp. However, with the stricter moderation and 10 open post limit it meant that interest was lost.

We only ever used it on Raja2008 (who went through about 50 user ID's trying to get away from it) and still do some testing from time to time on Jagadeesh Jammy in the Test&Playground forum with it.

If you think it could help, then let me know.

Hi

I'm only recently beginning to see some of the oddities in SDN Forums (such as the ponit gaming) which is a shame.

I can't remember the process of creating a login in SDN but was/is there a validation step in there or could one be added to check the IP address automatically? The only reason I ask is that my rather ancient HP Pavillion tower crashed last week and, after doing a complete restore, logging onto Ebay prompted me for a set of ID confirmation questions as it said the PC wasn't recognised?

I know I work in SAP but I have a Colonel O'Neil (Stargate) grip of I.T./technology - if it moves shoot it, if it doesn't move...shoot it, if it's pretty don't shoot it so I really have no idea what I mean except that there must be some way of tagging an ID to a computer and rejecting any new ID requests

I'm sending this from a work laptop from my home BT broadband so I guess I've just beggered that question up...

Cheers

The correct uniqueness to use is the mail ID. It serves in a way as authentication and warnings of misuse as well.

IP addresses are not worth much today with ISPs, dynamic IP allocation, clustering, clouds, clowns, etc. just an indicator.

I just upgraded the Nostradamus system over xmas (SDN's lie-detector) for the same reason.

Hi everyone,

at last we have [an answer for the translation|http://es.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtX3aboFqM3TNByOh6._nlXLEQx.;_ylv=3?qid=20101229053217AAUwes6] (I posted a question at Yahoo!) It means literally "kill yourselves, you and your father", but it's better translated into "f*ck off" or something like that.

Not surprising, huh? We all had a clue on what it could mean.

Cheers!
