Telephone number

I don't think it's a good idea to give out yout telephone number on an internet forum.

The only thing, which can be worse, if you call one number and you have to listen a "Hot-and-horny-babe" for a lot of bucks...

So what do you think about this thread? If I were a moderator I delete not only e-mails, but phone numbers also...

That kind of information, like email addresses are strictly for the business cards and the wiki profiles and only if people want to make that voluntarily available.

Inform the participant that this is not appropriate. Remove the number please.

That thread popped up in the "Abuse Report" list yesterday and was edited shortly afterwards.

It does not happen often, but it does still happen from time to time and there is certainly a backlog which is edited whenever it pops up again to the top. To go back and check/edit all 1 million posts in ABAP General is not possible (at least not for me).

Actually, I even called a guy once who continued to post his telephone number. If you search the funny thread in the Coffee Corner for "There was a tramendous background noise" you can find an account of this event
