since quite a while, I missing the option to mark an URL as "open in new tab/window.

Any Idea were it went?

the Question - How to embed a hyperlink into image in SAP Blogs? doesn't have a solution for that.
However within Question/Answer the option is still available ...

Hi Roland,

Thanks for your feedback. I talked with the Community UX colleague, and the change occurred at the time we introduced the image Lightbox behavior in August 2020. The change has helped us handle links in a consistent way.

In the current state in blogs.sap.com and other pages in community.sap.com:

• if authors add links to pages within the sap.com domain, it’s considered an internal SAP page and will open in the same tab
• If authors add links to external sites, it’s considered an external link and will open in a separate tab.

I understand that in answers.sap.com we still allow authors to select whether the link should open in a different tab. I'll review these difference with the UX colleague.

Any Updates here? I cannot find anything like internal or external link in the in blogs.sap.com and other pages in community.sap.com

What I find here in the Answer is the "expected behavior"
