Tags for BW related questions sufficient?

Hi BW community,

I only found the BW tags in the new beta tag style:

BW Business Explorer (Bex)

BW Content and Extractors

BW Planning

Isn't that missing some points like current hot topics 'BW modelling tools in Eclipse' or the analytic engine for HANA topics?

Also, where would I put questions or blogs on the DTP or transformations?

Any more suggestions for tags?

And this is why there's an effort to expand on the tags that we have now. As you know, that's a large project that's already underway. Our aim for go-live was to make tags available for at least the same topics and granularity that we have on SCN today.

The metadata will continue to evolve and expand.

Have you tried to simply add user tags to your post?

My understanding is that the primary tags are meant to be broad, few and curated and that for more detailed and flexible grouping of content the user tags should be used.

Fully agree, in a perfect world, self organized user tags will work.

Still I see a definite need for more managed task inside a big product like NetWeaver from my personal perspective as CRM IC support engineer who is sharing knowledge with customers. Beside sharing knowledge, SCN is also a great opportunity to learn about challenges SCN community currently faces, which also helps me to identify which knowledge is needed and what I could share to help.

Having spaces in the past, this was quite simple, not sure how that can work without knowing which tags I need to follow.

I fully agree. At the moment the SCN Forum Spaces are quite badly structured with regards to BW related questions (only "SAP Business Explorer (SAP BEx)" and "SAP Business Warehouse" are available). So where to put  OLAP feature related questions such as variable handling, constant selection, currency conversion,... Having a tag for BW on HANA topics and for BWMT definitely should be available too. I really hope that this will be improving with the new SCN. I would suggest tags such as: - BW on Hana - BW Modelling tools - OLAP Technology - WHM Any other ideas?
