Hi All
Not quite related to BETA testing of new platform but more about types of content welcomes to SCN. A big challenge we have at the moment (and a few of the regulars gripe about) is the low hanging fruit with step by step instructions. I've alerted moderator a fair bit on people writing blogs and documents which are really IMG or help.sap.com configuration steps with screen shots included.
It makes me wonder if we can consider options to make use of this enthusiasm and work effort by collaborating with help.sap.com material. At the moment, we have help.sap.com, wiki,sap.com and scn.sap.com all producing material. As we get new products and system revamps, a lot more of the "junior" level material gets produced.
Is there anyway IDX could find a way to allow members to contribute to "jazzing" up help.sap.com. A quality assurance process (accuracy, no customer information in screen shots, product version) would be required as well as potentially gamification/recognition of contribution - obviously this takes time, people and platform to enable.
Just might be a way to get community more involved.
These members who start contributing to improve basic documentation would also train up to eventually be in a position to write the more advanced/complex blogs and documents.
And in merging some of these areas, it might stop the confusion and repetition between when to post to wiki and scn.
Regards
Colleen
