Don't complain, just abstain, don't you fake it!

Thus it was, thus it will be - there's nothing that's new:

Once you're UP, once you're down; once you're blithe, once you're blue.

If the UPGRADE won't want, you can't make it:

Don't be sad, don't be mad, never stake it!

Just stop running around without hope, without rest,

For the SAPNet knows always the best!

Schrei net rum, bleib schön stumm, sag es war nix.

So war`s immer, so bleibt es für ewige Zeit,

Einmal ob`n, einmal unt, einmal Freud`, einmal Leid.

Wenn der Upgrade net will, nutzt es gar nix,

Sei net bös, net nervös, denk es war nix.

Renn nur nicht gleich verzweifelt und kopflos herum,

Denn das SAPNet weiß immer warum.

Good Point! It really already is a song by the viennese singer-songwriter Karl Hodina: "Wenn der Herrgott net will, nutzt es gar nix"

There are some interesting cover versions, e.g. by "Kollegium Kalksburg", also partly in English.
