SM21 - Error found in PBT environment, FM = SPBT_GET_CURR_RESOURCE_INFO

Hi,

During idoc processing we see following messages generated in SAP system log which complain that the servers are getting disconnects from message server..

SM21 ::

Error found in PBT environment, FM = SPBT_GET_CURR_RESOURCE_INFO

> Failure checking whether server is active/inactive

Documentation for system log message EK 1 :

While processing parallel background tasks, the system discovered an

error in the specified function module. The reason for the error is

described in the corresponding system log entry.

Failure checking whether server is active/inactive

Documentation for system log message EK 5 :

While processing "parallel background tasks", the system could not

determine whether the application servers involved are active or

inactive. This is possibly because the connection to the message server

was lost.

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Did you find solution for same error.

We had a job failure , we checked & found below similar log in sm21.

Dear Friends,

I had the same issue. Please follow the below steps.

1. Goto RZ12

2. Select parallel_generators

3.Activated = 1

and save it then check in tcode SARFC and SMQS resources it should be active.

did you find a solution for this? We have the same sequence of messages (EK1, EK4), but none of the before given suggestions is very helpful...

i have the same errors in SM21 (and quite a lot...), i found this note: http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2086653

it seems to be a program failure, i will try to apply the suggested solution and hope it works...

i tried it, but it didn't work, i think i'll go for a newer ST-PI version...

i used saint to update my ST-PI and ST-A/PI, and it seems to work - the error is gone.

Hello.

May be I had the same problem, because in sm21 i saw analog message.

As it appeared the qrfc (smqs) scheduler has problem (smqs - monitor) whith one of the instance included in my group:

Name of AS Group (DEFAULT = All):        parallel_generators

In transaction sarfc we founded the problem instance. This instance had red status "Error in configuration". We removed the problem instance from group parallel_generators. After this qrfc  scheduler worked succesfully.

The instance had problem because parameter "Activated (0 or 1)" = 0 (sarfc configuration of qoutes). If you change this parameter to value 1, you can include the instance back to group.
