Hey Blag!

Emily is great, although I have now gone back to work, so am away/travelling during the week. hard times.... Thankfully my next project is much closer to home - hoping to start that within 6 weeks!

Fatherhood is amazing... Such a humbling experience!

If I knew were to get one, I would...

Work don't let me go on "Jollies" as they are not chargable to the client - As I believe they can be obtained from these gatherings...

Having just found them on the SDN section of the SAP shop - it costs twice as much for delivery than the actual product! Such a shame as I would have bought one otherwise....

I'm a reggae programmer myself. If I am coding then I am listening to reggae. The only exception is that I will listen to Jimmy Buffett if there is a concert replay on Sirius.

Hi SDN Skate K Punk ,

Coolest K-Shirt picture ever, even though no one can read the text.

Put a smile on my frowning Monday morning face.

Thanks for sharing, Mark.

Hi Christopher,

You inspired me to take out my old Santa Cruz board and I did a little loop around my new neighborhood that has some nice little rolling streets.

Felt really good. Thanks, Mark.

P.S. The years before I took my blades to Las Vegas and cruised around back alleys late at night after most of the activity was over. You get a total different perspective on a city. I am not sure whether I schlep them again this year.

One of the best documentaries I have ever seen is Dogtown and Z-Boys.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogtown_and_Z-Boys.

It documents how modern skating grew out of this rag-tag group of kids from mostly broken families. Be thankful that surf dies down at Venice Beach at around 11 in the morning, so in the afternoon they brought the surf moves to the street.

Check it out, Mark.

I do like psytrance, but I can't see myself programming listening to Cosmo

Infected Mushroom is more suited for coding.

All these skateborading threads had cost me hours this weekend. I guess I have spent 4 hours watching Rodney Mullen vids from the 80ies on youtube ... man man man ...

Try some chillout like Shulman, Ishq, Shpongle, or Bluetech. works like a charm while coding. you can also try some low BPM morning like Ibojima, Silicon Sound. Nice to see someone likes psy trance in here.

Nice one Christopher.

You should wear your SDN shirt next time in the pool to prove that

I used to listen sex pistols, Exploited, Ramones and some german fun punk bands when I was younger. Now my prefered coding sound is electronic music.

Cheers,

Sascha

@Sascha

Oooooo good idea! I might do that this weekend! haha I have about 2-3 SDN shirts and probably another 8-10 SAP t-shirts from over the years from conferences and such.....I'll have to pick a good one to wear....stay tuned for pics to come! 😃

As for music, it depends on the work....

"old" ABAP = classic rock

OO ABAP = heavy metal / industrial / house

Webdynpro = death metal/hard techno/punk

Web Services = electronic

BASIS config/tuning = emo / goth

SAPscript = classical

SmartForms = Jazz

Adobe Interactive Forms = R&B/hip-hop

*FYI....kidding!!!!!! I just listen to whatever the mood calls for.....get into the zone and away I go!

Former Member

sometimes I think the best music for all the mixed abap development would be very experimental free Jazz ... this would describe my feelings when I started with abap and abap OO comming from the Java world
